Jim is a 25-year veteran of the hotel industry. As the co-creator of the Candlewood Suites Brand and as the principal ofboth a hotel management company and several Marriott hotels, Jim has a unique ability to understand and anticipate owner's concerns and needs. Jim has an extensive working knowledge of hotel operations and sales that helps him quickly understand the opportunities and challenges of a transaction. Jim is driven to leverage his vast experiences and reputation to help owners realize the best possible value for their hotel in the swiftest timeframe.
Jim developed, owned, and managed several hotels in Kansas and surrounding states - including the Marriott brands - Residence Inn, Courtyard, Fairfield, Springhill Suites, TownePlace Suites, and Aloft. He also developed and owned several Candlewood Suites Hotels. His hotels and teams have earned several awards, including "Opening Hotel of the Year" from Marriott twice. Jim was instrumental in the relaunch of the TownePlace Suites brand with Marriott leadership increasing the brand's distribution and market share dramatically.
Locally, Jim has been involved in the sale of a number of hospitality transactions, including Springhill Suites, Residence Inn, TownePlace Suites, Hilton Garden Inn, Courtyard, and Home2Suites.
Jim is active in a number of civic organizations. He has served as past board chair of the Greater Wichita YMCA, Executive Board Member of teh Wichita CVB, member of the Downtown Wichita Rotary Club, and is actively involved in the Catholic Diocese of Wichita.
Jim is a graduate of Michigan State University and resides in Wichita, Kansas with his wife Kelly and children.
