Charisma Inner Beauty, a 31-year-old salon and spa in west Wichita, will soon be in new hands.

Robin Wolfe and her husband, Bob, have owned and operated the business since it was founded. In a news release, Wolfe said she is ready to close that chapter and start new adventures.

“We were both ready for a change and the stars aligned to make this happen,” she said in the release. “I wanted someone special to take over Charisma.”

Tamara Miller, who has been an employee at the salon for 16 years, will be the new owner, alongside her husband, Kevin, starting Jan. 2. They will lead 13 employees at Charisma, which provides hair coloring, haircuts, massages, nail services, facials and Aveda products. Charisma is an Aveda Lifestyle affiliate.

The east-side Charisma at the Waterfront closed in July, and in 2017 the salon relocated from a shop near 21st and Ridge to its current location near Maple and Maize. The address is 10607 W. Maple St., Suite 2.

Miller said in the news release she plans on maintaining the same services and team members once she takes over the ownership.

“Kevin and I are super excited to carry on what they’ve started and look forward to working with my co-workers in this new position,” she said in the release.

Wolfe, a former WBJ Women in Business honoree, will become a residential agent with Berkshire Hathaway East. Bob Wolfe will continue in his role as the Fire Chief in Arkansas City.
