Marriott TownePlace Suites sells from one Wichita group to another

The Marriott TownePlace Suites at K-96 and Webb Road has sold.

Craig Smith’s MSS of Wichita sold the property to TGC – TPS Wichita, a subsidiary of Wichita-based TGC Development Group led by Nick Esterline.

“We are excited to own and manage such a well-established hotel,” Esterline said in a statement.

His group plans “significant” renovations to the three-story, 82-room hotel, which has fitness and business centers and an outdoor courtyard.

“We are committed to making the guest experience better than it has ever been.”

TGC Hospitality Management, a division of TGC Development Group, will manage the hotel.

Jim Korroch, director of the hospitality division of Landmark Commercial Real Estate, represented TGC – TPS Wichita.

“Landmark was pleased to assist in a transaction of such a strong branded Marriott hotel,” Korroch said in a statement. “The new ownership is committed to improving on the success the hotel has had for years to come.”
