John Potts
Vice President of Landmark Commercial Property Management
John Potts is a seasoned professional in the real estate industry with 41 years of experience. He began his career as an office and retail salesperson with Transamerican Management. After moving to Philadelphia, he worked on the development of shopping centers, securing anchor tenants for various projects. In 1989, John returned to Wichita and spent six years in corporate real estate with Rent A Center, overseeing new stores, renewals, construction, and relocations across 13 states.
Following his time at Rent A Center, John joined Rentway as the Western Regional Director of Real Estate. In 2003, after Rentway ceased business, he opened his own brokerage, Eaglecreek Realty Services, representing tenants nationwide. In 2011, John joined RedGuard, a modular builder of blast-resistant buildings, where he coordinated global contracts with major companies. Subsequently, he entered corporate real estate and development with LANGE, overseeing corporate real estate expansion and securing $34 million in Industrial Revenue Bonds for a 54-acre development called Ironhorse Manufacturing Park.
In October 2017, John joined the Landmark Commercial Property Management Team as a Property Manager and Landmark Commercial Real Estate as an Associate Broker. In 2018, he began leading the Property Management Division and was promoted to Vice President of the Property Management Division. John, along with three Property Managers and staff, manages 52 properties across the city.
John is a proud supporter of Wichita State University, where he graduated in 1974. He is a member of various organizations, including the Knights of Columbus, Wichita State Alumni Association, Blueprint for Regional Growth, Wichita Transportation Sub-Committee, and the International Council of Shopping Centers. John and his wife Debbie have been married for 50 years and have three grown children, three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
