Wichita is getting another dollar store – this one near K-96 and Greenwich

The dollar stores keep on coming in Wichita.

Construction is about to start on a new Dollar Tree location at 2783 N. Greenwich Road, which is near the K-96 and Greenwich interchange and across the street from Greenwich Place — a booming commercial intersection in northeast Wichita.

A building permit pulled by the Wichita-based SBA Construction Co. for the project totals $600,000, records show.

Brad Saville, founder and CEO of Landmark Commercial Real Estate, is handling the development, which is south of the All Angles Collision Repair. He says the store is targeted to open late summer, and more land is available on the project.

“Dollar stores have been one of the essential retailers providing necessary staples during the Covid-19 pandemic, Saville said in an email.

There are already about a dozen Dollar Tree locations in the Wichita area.

The Virginia-based company, which acquired the Family Dollar brand in 2015, plans to open a Family Dollar this summer near Harry and Webb.

And Dollar General is building a store at Hoover and MacArthur.
